More Medieval Fightin’ Pics.

Finally, FINALLY, got some of the pictures of me and Sam’s fight in Balingup the other weekend.  The following are all copyright of Dick Stein and all rights and disclaimers and legal crap here.

Many folks have been talking about what a great fight it was, and to be honest, the pictures don’t quite do it justice.  We kind of look like we’re standing alot, and when we’re all fighting-like, we STILL look like we’re standing, just hitting each other.

Next time, I’ll get video, and we’ll all be happy, though me and Sam are both worried that we’re not going to look anywhere as cool or as awesome as we feel like.

To start, I bashed him with my shield.  Mostly cos it’s noisy and looks cool and we’re both big chubby boys so we make quite a thud.

Bashed him again, but madder this time.

Not sure why we’re so far apart.  See?  Looks kind of silly doesn’t it.  Well, best I can figure is this is where he’d probably just got me in the gut as I ran by.  Need a bit more actiontastic action photos.

I’m wounded and pissed and he presses the attack.

I’m bravely fighting back after losing my shield.

IsaidBRAVELY!  ‘Course, the sequence right after this, where I’ve blocked his shot (above) chuck his sword and bash him inna face has no photographic documentation.  It lives on though, in my stories… and only there.

‘K.  He got me.  It even hurt.  Like, all dramatically n’ such.

I’m badly wounded but won’t yield and ask for quarter.  So he kicks me.  In the BUTT.

I was still trying to get up when he very rudely plunged his sword into my chest.  Bastard.

Jo and Ron were both holding babies and yelling for their respective hubbies by their stage names, so it was cool to hear chants for “Hamish” and “Patrick”.  ‘Cept the “Hamish” yells got a bit louder when he went and killed Good Ol’ Patrick.

I’ma get ‘im next time.

   We were truly wetting ourselves with laughter, as we decided whether or not to yell such things as, “WIN OR WE’LL THROW BABIES AT YOU!” and “WHOEVER LOSES GETS NONE TONIGHT!”

   Good times, good times. lol.

   BTW, we’ve already booked for next year, so we don’t have to drive a million miles.
