I was born on a Montana mountaintop, educated at the best in Texas and corporately-careered in Colorado, but my life really began when I ditched it all for true love and became a husband, father and West Australian.
I believe writing and language are what connect us all, no matter our occupation, station or interests. Everyone has a story to tell and a truly good story is something that makes an impact into your day. Something that keeps popping into your head here and there while you’re just living your life. I’m out to tell the story that you’ll think about. Something that lasts. Something you keep.
My short stories have been published in the anthology Like Clockwork as well as the Night Parrot Press Micro Memoir Anthology Ourselves featuring 100 stories from 100 WA authors (the first of its kind). I’ve also been named “Highly Commended” in the The Twisted Stringybark Short Story Award 2022 as well as placing on the longlist of the Australian Writer’s Centre Furious Fiction several times. In October 2023 I was shortlisted in the OOTA’s Spilt Ink Short Story Competition, finishing in 2nd place.
I have two self-published sci-fi novels under a pen name with a third underway, as well as a completed YA, coming-of-age novel that I’m currently pitching to agents and publishers.
